Most of the times, a MarsSI processing pipeline update include minor "bug fixes" that should not change the type of output of the processing (except making it work whereas it failed before). We label those as "revisions".

But sometimes, a pipeline changes are more fundamental and results very different (hopefully much better). In that case, we talk of a new version and it might be desirable to allow reprocessing previously processed products.

But as previous version of a product are very important, we must take care of storing them somewhere for reference and/or science reproducibility.

How to see archived versions of a product

The easiest way of accessing a product archive is to add the product to your workspace. Then follow the link on the observation name, you will be sent to the observation product detail page:

On this view, you can see a few of the observation metadata, each derived product (including the dependency links) and at the bottom, a link to the archive regarding this observation:

On the archive page, you can see what previous version is available, the label we gave to this version and when it was originally processed and then archived. Like in the workspace page, you can select which archived version you would like to access, then select the "copy" action and click "go". The selected data will be transferred to your personal SFTP directory, but in the data/archive sub-directory to not be confused with an active version of the product(s).
